Ace Your Preparation

Ace Your Preparation

ADIRA conducted a mock test for class 12th students to prepare them for their board exams. An MCQ-based Mock test was organized, which tested the students in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. A surprise session then followed this test. Honourable Mr Manoj Sethi (CareerCounsellor and Life Coach) and Ms Garima Pant(Mathematics Teacher) addressed the students on the exam pattern, time management, and stress alleviation among other topics of concern.
After this session, we observed that students had much more clarity on approaching the exam and were confident to Ace their Preparation. Adira continues to be in touch with these students and provides them with sample papers and exam tips for the board exams.

Street Art: Chalk Graffiti

Street Art: Chalk Graffiti

This event was hosted at Taarangana '22, the Annual Cultural fest of IGDTUW, to raise awareness for the sustainable goals we advocate: Gender Equality, Quality Education and Reduced Inequalities. During the event, all interested onlookers were encouraged to express their thoughts using chalk, with the roads as a blank canvas, filled with ideas and thoughts of the students. The team members set the ball rolling by illustrating their ideas on the roads. This inspired students from IGDTUW and other universities, as well as faculty and known "influencers" and YouTubers to join and become a part of this awareness campaign. Throughout the event, the members, including the President and the General Secretary, made the passersby aware of the campaign: "Sab Padhenge Aage Badhenge" and their work with SDGs 4, 5 and 10.

Digiteracy

Digiteracy

"DIGITERACY", was an insightful session hosted by Adira, in collaboration with Finvesta. Team Finvesta talked about the various government schemes which are meant for economically lower background people and help in opening a bank account. After a brief introduction, they gave a comprehensive presentation on the use of digital payment by various UPI apps and also spoke about security in digital payment (advantages and disadvantages). The session was concluded with a successful and interactive Kahoot quiz. Post the event over 300 students identified financially vulnerable people and taught them about bank accounts and digital payments. The students helped people make Paytm accounts and even bank accounts.

While we teach we learn

While we teach we learn

WHILE WE TEACH, WE LEARN, was an initiative organized by Adira, in collaboration with Girlup Aadya. As a part of the event, a youtube video was released describing the tasks that needed to be performed as a part of the event. Mentors and students were required to make a 2-3 minute video explaining a topic from the subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. These videos would then be uploaded on youtube in the form of playlists for the benefit of students currently studying PCM in classes 11 and 12 Mentors actively participated in the initiative, and we received over 1000 responses in the form of informative videos.

The team designed a wall with wings on it to portray girl power. The motive was to let people write about their experiences and concerns related to education opportunities and their take on equality as women. Over 100 people wrote on the wall sharing their thoughts, experiences and what they want the “ future of all” to look like. A photo booth was set up to promote gender equality and over 200 students clicked pictures and engaged with it.

The Icebreaker

The Icebreaker

ADIRA conducted THE ICEBREAKER, an amazing interaction for freshers and all the other seniors of IGDTUW. Freshers got to know various available opportunities within and outside the college. Seniors answered a lot of questions like, how to score well in exams and how to build a good resume throughout the college journey. It was an interactive session to bridge the gap between freshers and seniors, network and get familiar with each other.
