Sustainability Goals
Our team focuses on SDG -11 which is sustainable cities and communities which is the foundation of the sustainable development goals. We believes that making the cities safe, inclusive and sustainable is of the utmost importance since the cities are the root of every other world problem. To combat issues like poverty, climate change, gender discrimination, health etc. one must first make our cities sustainable. Doing so will pave the path to success and fulfillment of the other sustainable development goals.
EVENTS
Symposium
A round table descussion was held in a virtual mode. This event had more than 200 registration. This discussion held increase the awareness of the attendees on various domains of sustainable development.
Pride Week
A social media campaign run by our team to break the myths regarding the LGBTQ+ community. The medium of social media proved to be an effective one. Our team managed to enlighten the masses with laws and myths against the LGBTQ+ community.
Gifting Smiles
The Center for Sustainable Development (IGDTUW), organized a donation camp. The camp was organized by the Sashakt Drishti to help underprivileged children. The camp took place in the playground of the campus. The collected materials were donated to a nearby NGO Kilkari Rainbow Home near Kashmiri gate.
